WHAT IS ATPE???
The Association of Texas Professional Educators is a member-owned, member-governed professional association.  Its 108,00 members make it the leading educators' association in Texas and the nation's largest independent association for public school educators. 
 
Nearly 6,000 educators across Texas volunteer to serve as ATPE state, regional and local unit leaders.  In addition, ATPE employs a full-time staff in its state office, located in Austin.  Staff member travel throughout the state to provide support and information to local units and volunteer leaders.

Our vision make us unique.  ATPE believes education Texas schoolchildren takes collaboration from teachers, administrators, para-educators and other involved in education, including retired and future educators.  We welcome them all to join ATPE.
